Objective:- Be able to explain and demonstrate basics of how to prevent a fire and how to act during a fire

  1. Understand the common causes of fire.

  2. Know what the elements are required to make a fire, explain what is a “Fire Triangle”.

  3. Should have knowledge about behavior of fire and types of fire.

  4. Methods of fire extinguishing and principles of fire extinguishing.

  5. Classification of first aid fire appliances, how to use first aid fire appliances.

  6. Explain why fire should not be used in near petrol sheds, gas tanks, etc.

  7. Explain what action should be taken, once you observed an outbreak of fire indoors or outdoors.

  8. Explain how you can call Fire and Rescue Services in your area and what are the essential actions to be taken in your capacity, whilst awaiting the arrival of the respective services.

  9. Be proficient in making the Fireman’s Chair knot, and Bowline on a bight, Figure of eight on a bight.

  10. Demonstrate how to rescue a person by fireman’s lift and firefighter’s crawl.
