# Dispatch Rider

SA-5(Corresponding badge for under 14Yrs 6 months – JA-5-Cyclist)

Objective: - Be able to use a bicycle or any other vehicle with regard to safety of himself and others, carry out simple repairs.

1. Own or have the use of a bicycle, scooter, motor cycle or a car.&#x20;
2. Demonstrate that he knows the high way code and be able to read a road map.
3. Be able to carry out running repairs to the bicycle, scooter, motor cycle or the car.&#x20;
4. Write a message from dictation, and deliver it at a point at least five KM away indicated only by map reference.( Examiner should take precautions when the Scout uses a scooter/motor cycle /Car for this. This should always be done under proper supervision and in a safe environment)&#x20;
5. Understand what action he must take in case of an accident, such as reporting to parents, police etc.&#x20;
6. Know first aid up to Chief Commissioner's Award
