# Civics

Objective: - Demonstrate the knowledge on basic law of the country and about the general geography etc, and how the Scout has taken action to help elderly or handicapped persons.

1. Prepare two maps showing 
   1. The boundaries of the electoral District where he lives 
   2. The boundaries of the local authority and those of its wards in the area that he lives 
2. Have studied the system of local government operating in his locality and describe the method of elections and qualification for voting, and provide proof of his knowledge of this subject verbally or in written form. 
3. Write a short history (around 1,000 words) of the area that he lives
4. Have an elementary knowledge of sources of Sri Lankan law. 
5. Produce evidence that he helps neighbors, especially those who are handicapped or aged or is training himself to do so
