# Interpreter

Objective: - Be able to show a fairly good skill in one language other than the Scout’s Own language.

Pass the following tests in any language other than his own.

1. Carry on a conversation lasting 15 minutes. The conversation to include some of the words in the basic Scout vocabulary such as the words for Scout, Patrol, Camp, tent, camp fire, Troop etc. 
2. Write a letter of at least 300 words, dealing with one of the several topics given by the examiner. 
3. Read aloud intelligibly, and give an approximate translation (without the help of a dictionary) of a paragraph of average difficulty from a book, news paper or a periodical.
