# Rescuer

Objective: - Demonstrate the skill in doing rescue work in water, and the Scout’s knowledge of basic first aid necessary in rescuing a drowning person.

1. Should have knowledge about the syllabus of the Life Saver badge.&#x20;
2. Demonstrate how to rescue a person drowning in mud or loose sand.&#x20;
3. Demonstrate how to rescue an unconscious patient from house Fire, first floor.&#x20;
4. Explane what are the action you have to take during a LP gas leak in your home.&#x20;
5. Perform in water, four methods of rescue (one to be “uni grip”) and three of release from the clutch of a drowning person in water. The drowning subject, to be approximately the size of the rescuer, and to be carried at least 15 meters by each method.&#x20;
6. Swim 50 meters in shirt and shorts, and undress without touching ground&#x20;
7. Throw a life line within one yard of a small object 15 meters away. The thrower to be up to waist in water.&#x20;
8. Should be able to explain how to Lead your team to deal with any type emergency.&#x20;
9. Demonstrate CPR and recovery position. (A living person should not be used to demonstrate CPR) Understand what D.R.S.A.B.C. is (Danger, Response, Shout for help, Airway, Breathing and Circulation).
